Today is Prime Day! Starting in just a few minutes, tons of great deals will be available on Amazon Prime for Prime Members, including deals on tech like tablets, Echo devices, and home video surveillance tools.
If you aren’t signed up for Prime, it’s a great time to sign up to get access to all the Prime Day steals. Right now, if you sign up for Prime, you get a 30-day Free Trial to see if it is worth it for your family.
I signed up for Amazon Prime before I became a caregiver, but I never really started appreciating the benefits of Prime until it got to where it just wasn’t feasible to go to the store every time we needed something.
At first, it was just subscribing to Grandma’s LifeSavers Pep-o-Mints, so I didn’t have to go to the store every time she ran out.
As time passes, Grandma is less able to go out on shopping trips, especially if there is a lot of walking involved. By using Amazon to make our purchases, I am able to include her in making choices about things. When she needs something, we can pull it up on one of our phones and make a decision about the purchase together.
Amazon has had some great deals on some of the equipment she has needed, like her bed rail, walker tray, raised toilet seat, and lightweight wheelchair. Ultimately, we saved a ton of money on those things, because they were much cheaper than they were in the store. On top of them, we got them without delay and we didn’t have to pay shipping (Thank you, FREE 2-Day Shipping!).

Try an Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial. You won’t regret it. It’s definitely worth the subscription to have peace of mind knowing you can grab your phone when you need something and don’t have time to go to the store or don’t feel like dealing with people.
Amazon Prime is definitely one of the key items in my caregiver survival kit! It has been a lifesaver on many occasions.
