In less than two weeks, I’ll be heading from Kansas City to the Empire State in less to attend the 2019 National Lifespan Respite Conference.
While I’m there, I am going to be on the closing session panel, Who Is America’s New Sandwich Generation? Millennials and GenX, with the esteemed Dr. Gretchen E. Alkema, VP of Policy & Communications at The SCAN Foundation, and C. Grace Whiting, J.D., President and CEO of the National Alliance for Caregiving 🤩🤩🤩
Our panel will highlight the work The SCAN Foundation is doing to build supportive communities for Millennial caregivers, as well as new data from the National Alliance for Caregiving on the Sandwich Generation and the unique caregiving needs of other caregivers in these age groups.
I will be on deck to share my caregiving journey and how I have created space in my caregiving life for respite.
When I started this blog two years ago, I never imagined being a featured speaker at a national conference! I’m so honored to have this opportunity to share our story and represent millennial caregivers everywhere. This is the stuff that dreams are made of.
Thank you to the SCAN Foundation for this incredible opportunity!
If you’re heading to the ARCH Respite conference in a couple weeks, I hope you’ll say hi!
